Posted in: Opinion

Stats from Heidelberg puts Galloways at no.1 with the most efficient Heidelberg Speedmaster CX102 print press in the world and continuously in the top 10 out of over 110 presses worldwide. An achievement we are incredibly proud of.

Galloways have been making sure that their production prints meet the highest standards of precision, expertise and sustainability that is required from today’s businesses. We are dedicated to helping our customers make greener, more sustainable decisions faster with better quality, faster service, and cost-effective prices.

500 printing jobs every month

This year, Galloways has carried out, in excess of, 500 printing jobs per month excluding our online orders. This is achieved via:

  • Our fully integrated software systems, taking us from quote to proof, in under 30 minutes, if required
  • Print over an astonishing 5,000 digital prints per hour with capabilities of printing viable data
  • Attain an average print speed of 13,000 sheets per hour, equating to over 100,000 A4 sheets per hour
  • Less make waste at under 100 sheets, allowing the use of creative papers such as GF Smith when designing your next project
  • Ready to print in under 6 minutes
  • Produce stitched booklets at 6,000 booklets per hour thanks to our latest investment
  • Achieve less than 1% wastage
  • Delivery for next day

Continued investment

Investment is so important in any business and we have heavily invested in the best quality software and equipment to achieve these incredible stats. Because of the better quality of service we can provide, the better quality of products we can deliver.

This year we introduced our newest member of the team the Stitchliner Mark 3, which can produce an incredible 6,000 books per hour. It combines the efficiency and ease of operation of a flat sheet collating machine with the productivity, versatility and quality of a saddle-stitching system. Previously, it would take three or four days to create a similar product, with the additional touchpoints involved.

This is on top of investment of Heidelberg’s Prinect scalable workflow solution. Prinect meant that there was no longer a need to re-enter data for every single job.

According to Matt Galloway, Prinect has become:

“A vital cog in the Galloways engine. Through direct feedback from Prinect into the Management Information System, we can analyse all jobs in our factory and tailor quoting parameters to attract the right levels of work and automate certain processes.”

Prinect streamlines the process of multiple management platforms, saving time and resources while making processes more efficient and streamlined.

This investment allows us to become:

  • Faster to the market
  • More cost-effective for the customer
  • More efficient
  • More sustainable
  • Potential to produce printed products for next day delivery
  • Perfect for anything from short runs to thousands of copies
  • Accommodate extensive or large artwork
